Tryouts for the Texas Colts have come to an end, but the Colts are still searching for dedicated players in all positions for the 2010 season.  The team fees are only $100.  If you got what it takes to be a Texas Colt or need more information, please send your contact information to texascolts@sbcglobal.net and someone will contact you. This is a new year with a lot of changes, we need all our veteran players at practice setting the tone for all the new players.  Until then keep checking the website for updates and keep it 100!  Practices are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30 - 9:30 located JT Trotter Park (7809 East Little York).

Football Team Announce open Tryouts

Houston, TX – The Lightning, Houston’s newest and only Professional Indoor Football Team, is pleased to extend this invitation to all professional and non-professional football players ages 18 and over. 

Tryouts for this 2010 season will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2010 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.  IMPORTANT:  Those players that are not pre-registered should arrive no later than 8:30 AM.

Tryouts will be held at Saint United Church, 350 Century Plaza Drive, Houston, TX 77073.  This facility is one block north of Airtex and I-45N. Each participant will be required to pay a $50 Registration Fee and will receive an official Houston Lightning tryout t-shirt. 

All participants will be tested in the following:  40yd Dash, 20yd Pro Shuttle, Standing broad Jump, and 185 / 225 Bench Press Repetitions.  Participants will also be put through position specific drills for further evaluation.  Players should bring proper footwear for both indoor and outdoor testing. (Flats and Cleats)
